This story is taken from my book, Evocations, and follows the solitary protagonist, preoccupied with thoughts of paradise.  Wandering in woods he thought he knew well, he discovers a path that he’d never noticed before.  The path leads him to a lake where he has a very strange encounter.  Depending on the choices he makes, it’s an encounter that could change his life
